Why Is There An Age Limit On The Purchase Of Sex Toys?

I mean, we all know that 14, 13, even 12 year old kids and teens are going to masturbate. We live in a different time now. So, why IS there an age limit? I mean, 21? In most states, the age of consent is 16, so, if kids are having sex at sixteen, shouldn’t they be able to buy adult toys?

They do this so that parents do not get upset. Some parents are completely oblivious to the fact that little Suzy is even thinking about anything of that nature. Have you ever seen how a mother reacts to their child learning a curse word? It is similar to that. They automatically blame whoever exposed them to this for their childs bad behavior. This is just what I think the reason is. It may not be, I am not sure, but it makes sense to me.

Its because, you can get hurt from putting them in teh wrong way and damage yourself. Also, masturbation is fine, but toys are taking it to teh next level

look yeh there is an age limit but trust me you can go to some shops where they sell sex toys and get the cashier that doesnt care trust me i know all about this you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes but there are some places mostly garages that they sell them that they wont care how old you are and sell them trust me my friends go to the garage and get theyre tobacco products just act as if you are old enough and buy it they more than likely wont ask for id and if they do just go to the internet find a company that makes them that doesnt have sex toy or anything that relates to them like vibrators and dildos in the company name and order one off the internet they cant tell if your underage or not i do agree with you if they are old enough to consent to sex then they are old enough to buy sex toys

No that’s why there called adult toy not kids toys. And 16 shouldn’t be having sex anyways

Because they feel like toys and other products are something that should be for adults only. That’s just the way things are. It sucks but I’m 20 and haven’t even been in a sex shop yet and you have to be 18 to go in there just like smoke shops. Also think about it you have to be I believe 17 maybe 18 to see an R-rated movie. They just feel like people under 18 don’t need to be exposed to that.

My state you need to be 18. Most sex toys you need to read the instructions, and use the proper type of lubricant for the sex toy (or masturbation toy) for the maximum pleasure. If you use it wrong, you could hurt yourself, and have some serious problems.. Also the store does now allow chilren in the store whether they are with their parents or not.

Just because a 16 year old is legally allowed to have sex it does not mean they are responsible enough to. 15,16,17 year olds, even a lot of 18 year olds are not mature enough to deal with sex toys.

Rules and regulations are framed after having a lot of mind bombardments by the educated and efficient people of the country.
No parents would prefer that their child should develop/fall easy prey to any bad habits. Its this very thought that keeps on harping in the mind of all matured and sinsear Person’s.
Thou its seen as hurdles by the new generation, still its to keep you all away till the age of your mental development.
One should pay their attentions towards studies and future carrier rather than going in for sex and diverting their mind.
If you have no such regulations it would only be a horrible day for the parents to see their children indulging in all immoral acts and at the same time you would be inviting hordes of problems such as medical, social and future carrier.

Using sex toys of any kind get a person used to sexual fulfillment that another human being cannot live up to. When was the last time you saw a woman give a ******** with a vibrator on her tongue?

Good question. It seems stupid to me. If a minor can go to a health clinic and get condoms at ages as young as 12 and 13, doesn’t it seem safer for them to use toys? There’s no risk of getting pregnant or an STD, and if they’re too dumb to realize where to stick a sex toy, then they’re too dumb to be having real sex.

First off, in ALL states the age of consent is NOT 16—look it up–in a LOT of states it’s 17 or 18 and in some states it’s way down to 14… HOWEVER, without an age limit on certain products, (cigarettes, sex toys, booze, etc) we would have a LOT of little minor children doing things they really are not old enough MENTALLY to be doing—-no adult will CONDONE sex for a 12-17 year old… and some won’t condone it for their children over 18 as long as they are living at home with their parents. SO, it is a matter of safety for the YOUNGSTERS and yes most parents REALIZE that their little children are going to masterbate or experiment with sex at an early age, but it is our RESPONSIBILITY as parents to TRY to make sure that age isn’t TOO EARLY… so you will have to deal with the AGE LIMIT thing and so will the next generation and the ones after that… in FACT, the older I get, the higher and HIGHER that age limit seems to MOVE UP—so be careful, some day, you won’t be able to buy a sex toy till you are at least 21… The drinking age USED to be 18—no longer—so as long as kids show just how immature they ARE, the age limits on things will increase—oh and now in SOME states, they are making it more difficult to get a drivers license until you are 18—(used to be 16 and 15 in some states)….
