The best way to wallow in self pity after a breakup though is to listen to really romantic songs and watch really romantic movies and think about how unfair it is that your life isn’t like that

i’d recommend songs by taylor swift. esp. Whitehorse,Your Face,Teardrops On My Guitar and many others that you can find yourself. Don’t Forget by Demi Lovato is also not bad.
but i think you really shouldn’t listen to sad songs right now, in fact, i think you should listen to songs like Love Me Or Hate Me, Picture To Burn,Chivas or So What to make yourself feel better.
tell yourself that you’re too good for that guy and he doesn’t deserve you.

I cried to that song my last breakup because I completely agreed with it, I could, and will do better then him. I took it as him saying it to me, trying to gain my forgiveness and he wasn’t going to get it.

Also, try soft songs like classical music, but if you’re not a classist then perhaps you could listen to some FM static songs.
