How Soon After Having Unprotected Sex Can I Conceive Or Show Signs Of Pregnancy?

I had unprotected sex 5 days ago and I wanted to know how long it takes to show signs of early pregnancy and how long it takes to conceive.

well.. they have all kinds of pregnancy tests out.. id wait a couple more days… BUT… there is a test out that “claims” that it can detect the pregnency 5 days after fertilization..
but i think i remember my science teacher saying it can sometimes take up to 3 days for the sperm cells to reach an egg.. so id wait for like 10-15 days … just to make sure..
    good luck

i think it takes about 3 or 5 days to actually “concieve” (the sperm meets the egg, and attatches itself to the uterus). as far as showing signs, there are quite a few different pregnancy test that you can get. most test you usually have to wait until you miss your period. taking them any sooner then that makes them less effective. so to save some cash wait until your at least 5 days late for your period before getting an at home pregnancy test. otherwise the results may be wrong. if you really dont think you can wait, talk to an ob-gyn doctor. they can give you more info, and may even be able to do a preg test with a blood sample. pregnancy usually shows up a lot sooner in the blood, then it does in the urine.

Your boyfriend can tell you are ovulating when intercourse (5 days ago) and tell you after 5 days? what does he have down there? portable fertility lab and it take 5 days to analyzed the sample? like in CSI movie?
I hope your ovulating is not based on his professional judgement; i think the process of sperm entering an egg, only takes a matter of minutes from the time a drop of sperm enter your genital. thousands of sperm race towards the egg, and unless he or you having bad day, it would conceive.

If you didn’t ovulate 5 days ago then you wont be pregnant.Check the ovulation calculator and see when you ovulate that’s the only time you can become pregnant. If you did ovulate 5 days ago then you will show signs about 2 weeks after a missed period.

If you aren’t trying to get pregnant, then go get the morning after pill and some peace of mind.
